New EPoS technology rewards customer loyalty
EPoS provider H.I.T Solutions is targeting the hospitality market with a new specialist touch screen electronic point of sale solution. A key feature of the pointOne V4 solution is ‘pointOne Loyalty’ which gives restaurateurs, hoteliers or bars the facility to maximise customer loyalty at the point of sale.
According to Operations Director, Steven Rolfe at H.I.T Solutions, pointOne V4 is one of the most comprehensive and most user-friendly EPoS solutions on the market, “By responding to our customers “wish-lists”, we have designed an EPoS solution that not only addresses and resolves common industry problems such as high staff turnover and training costs but also dramatically speeds up table service and encourages repeat business.”
The pointOne system allows clients to issue loyalty or privilege cards to their customers to increase customer loyalty. Loyalty points can be accumulated on a per item basis or monetary value, and then redeemed at the point of sale to pay for items.
Rolfe added “ pointOne’s extensive feature set and comprehensive reporting facilities, together with the new ‘pointOne Loyalty’ function gives the hospitality operator closer control over their operation, freeing up time for them to concentrate on more important tasks such as raising customer service and increasing profit margins”.

pointOne V4 EPoS offers fast performance with a bright ELO touch screen that is easy to read with clear visibility reducing user fatigue and input errors. Menu options are easy to read and comprehensive, with drill-down facilities to view specific ingredients to check for customer food allergies. The pointOne terminal transmits fast, clear and readable menu orders through to the kitchen, and menu choices can be highlighted in red or black to alert the chef to specific customer requirements. To facilitate training, the touch screen has colour-coded graphics that are clear and intuitive to understand, even for inexperienced or new operators.
Operating on an Microsoft® Windows platform, pointOne V4 incorporates table control, price and stock management, staff time & attendance, flexible billing (including bill splitting and euro acceptance), integration with PMS (property management system), a comprehensive membership and loyalty system, and seamless integration with Nomad M-POS, the company’s user-friendly wireless handheld. pointOne V4 will support chip and pin card payments from August 04. |
